Instructions:
I began by securing the Art Is Stencil to the area of cardstock I wanted to apply the design. I knew I was going to split the design, so I also masked off the areas of the stencil where I did not want the design to transfer. I used a palette knife to spread texture paste through the stencil and set this aside to dry. This process was repeated on the lower right side of cardstock where I applied texture paste to the the previously masked area of the stencil. After that dried it was time to begin the doily design.
I began by masking off the area and securing the stencil.  I decided to add color to the paste for the doily areas. By mixing in a few drops of distress reinker and versamark Dazzle reinker I created a blue (Peacock Feathers and Champagne) and pink (spun sugar and Frost) shade of paste. These were applied using a palette knife  and set aside to dry.
Once everything was dry I had a hard time figuring out what I wanted to do to make the words stand out. I realized it would have been easier if I had sprinkled on my embossing powder when the paste was wet and then heat it after it dried.  But hey, I was undecided at the time, and I knew a way!
So this is what you do….. grab your Versamark pad and your stencil!!  Lay the stencil over the words and that will “mask” the area around it. You then press the versamark pad down onto the paste. Be sure to get good coverage, and know that some of the ink may soak into the paste, similar to if you rubbed over it with dye ink. Gently remove the stencil. I combined copper and gold powders to get the look I wanted, generously sprinkled the powder over the area and tapped off the excess. Then I heat set the powder once my heat gun was good and hot. If there was an area that needed a little more powder I reapplied the stencil/versamark/ and powder and heat set again.
Next I stamped the butterfly, bird, roses, and leaves onto the #80 white cardstock. I colored these images using distress markers and Marvy brush markers. I scribbled ink onto my craft mat, then used my Spectrum noir clear sparkle marker to pick up the inks and color and blend them onto the stamped images. This was a bunch of fun! Admittedly took quite a while with the breaks my head made me take, but SO worth the effort!!!
After coloring, the images were cut using the coordinating dies. I then assembled and shaped the images... Curving the birds, adjusting branches, giving butterflies the airy look. Flowers were then shaped and given a bit more TLC around the edges with the markers.
I then adhered these components to the piece using tacky glue and 3D glue dots.  Perfect Pearl's shimmer was sprayed over the design, because there can never be too much sparkle in my opinion. As a final touch, a black border was drawn in with a sharpie marker.
Hope you enjoyed this!!! Sure was fun to create!!!
